• Salary range: 8 - 10 Euros an hour

To be determined, but probably 20h/week


Demanem:

The intern candidate will be a talented Mechanical Engineer graduate who lives in the region of Barcelona and if required hold a work permit for Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the activities of the senior mechanical engineer including preparing documentation, mechanical drawings, administrative tasks, ordering parts and supplier follow up as well as assisting in the construction of robots.

The person must have a can-do attitude, a good eye for detail, work independently and be unforgiving with mediocre results.

Fluency in Spanish or Catalan is a must with a good level of English.

Required skills and responsibilities:
• Studying a bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
• Good oral English and good communication in general
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure receipt and delivery of orders on time
• Good document preparation skills
• Good mechanical drawing skills
• Personal experience working with mechanics: assembly etc
• Logical, commonsensical approach to issues
• Assisting in the building of robots
• Updating of test plans with the results of mechanical tests
• Highly organised and disciplined, creative, innovative and with a strong willingness to learn

Desirable skills:
• Prepared to get their hands dirty on the job
• Hands on experience working with tools
• Competency working with building materials
• Assisting in the assembly of the mechanical components
• Assisting in fieldwork, prototyping and testing
• Checking installations and problem-solving activities
• Knowledge of Solidworks CAD 3D, AutoCad
