Job Description:
Faromatics, an innovative start-up working with cutting edge robotic technology for livestock industrial application, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer graduate with a passion for working with a team creating great robotic products.
Our disruptive new technology can be applied to balance animal welfare with productivity through machine learning, pattern recognition and a combination of sensors to provide optimal decision support to users.
The graduate candidate will be a talented Mechanical Engineer who is willing to work in Germany for two years on a project with a German University to run and maintain six ChickenBoy robots whilst performing various tests with regards to sensors. Maintenance of robots will also be required. The candidate will be supported from Spain, but report directly to the personnel of the German University.
At the end of the candidate’s tenure in Germany, Faromatics will negotiate the continued employment of the candidate in Spain working from the Faromatics offices in Vilanova i la Geltru.
The person must have a can-do attitude, a good eye for detail, work independently and be unforgiving with mediocre results.
A good level of English is required and a working knowledge of German - or willingness to learn the language - would certainly be an advantage.

Demanem:
Required skills and responsibilities:
- A Bachelor\\\'s or Master’s degree, preferably in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- Good oral English and good communication in general
- Personal experience working with mechanics: assembly etc
- Logical, commonsensical approach to issues
- Good document preparation skills
- Highly organised and disciplined, creative, innovative with strong technical judgement, great attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Assisting in fieldwork, prototyping and testing, checking installations, problem solving activities, providing technical advice and resolving problems
- Updating of test plans with the results of mechanical tests
- Investigate and correct design deficiencies
Desirable skills:
- Genuine passion for robots
- Prepared to get their hands dirty on the job
- Competency working with building materials
- Assisting in fieldwork, prototyping and testing
- Checking installations and problem solving activities
- Knowledge of Solidworks CAD 3D, AutoCad is a plus
